working on some changes to the blog.

i have been working with graylog as a siem on my home network recently and i am liking it so far. i was able to get my pfsense logs ingested and i was able to build some extractors for snort detections after a bit of research.

life has a weird way of kicking you in the teeth when you least expect it… and sometimes, weird shit just seems to be the only thing on the menu.

i made a decision this month to leave my position as cyber security engineer for the company i was working for. i didn’t quit for anything related to the actual company, rather it was moreso issues with myself. at any rate, i wanted to focus more on offensive security and security research and i needed a bit more flexibility in my life in order to do so.

Haven’t been as active as I would like to be, but I intend on trying. Stuff has been a bit hectic with work and all, so I’m trying to work around all of the stuff that is leaving me drained so I can make time for personal projects and radio stuff.

Blog post redux. I took the ameteur radio technician license exam and passed it.
